Welcome To HKILA the Hong Kong International Learning Academy
HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL LEARNING ACADEMY 'Educating, Not Schooling'Hong Kong International Learning Academy (HKILA) is a unique educational concept open to all students between the ages of 6 and 16 years, founded by Justine Barlow in November 2010. A not for profit organisation, HKILA is not a mainstream school, in fact we don’t class ourselves as a school at all, but an academy in which children that are unable to access mainstream education or are currently home schooled in Hong Kong can come and study in a warm and welcoming environment. The academy can offer advice on a number of curriculum choices for full and part time tuition, ensuring you can select a curriculum that is right for your child. Our main role is to organize the curriculum and monitor the student progress with the study materials, as well as to maintain motivation and teach independent learning skills to aid their progress. It also offers the valuable opportunity for each student to socialise with their peers. Whether you are looking for a short term solution whilst waiting for a school place to become available, or are looking for a more permanent and flexible education for your child than is currently available in Hong Kong, HKILA can help. |
